IT BEGINS.

zeroseed is a bootstrap: the first thing that runs, and the reason anything after it can. It grows in the open.

// what this is

Before a platform, before a product, before anything can be shipped, something has to exist that starts the rest. Not a plan for it. The thing itself, running.

This is that. It is not a company, not a pitch, and nothing here is for sale. It is the first seed, and it grows where anyone can watch it.

// the philosophy
0000

Zero is a position, not an absence

Counting starts at zero. Every array, every memory offset, every boot vector begins at an address that already exists. Zero is not nothing. It is the first place something can be.

0001

A seed carries enormous complexity, not a single outcome

What's folded into it is decoded, not guessed at — but decoded is not the same as decided. The possibilities are extreme. Which one becomes real is a process, not a lookup, and that process starts at zero, the moment the machine begins.

0010

Growth is not deployment

Deployment moves something finished from one place to another. Growth produces something that did not exist before. Two different verbs. They should not share a vocabulary.

0011

Eight bits were enough to begin

The first pictures a machine ever drew fit into a grid you could count by hand. The limit was not an obstacle to overcome. It was the condition under which a first picture was possible at all.

0100

In the open, or not at all

A seed planted in private is a secret, not a beginning. What no one else can see hasn't started — it's only been imagined. A beginning exists the moment it can be checked by someone who isn't the one who planted it.

Zero to Workload

The old story starts with a human and a disk. Here is the same story, told from zero — from where the machine is. Touches theses 0000, 0010, and 0001.

THIS IS INDEX ZERO.
EVERYTHING AFTER
IS GROWTH.
